About Üga Büga

Forged in the hills of Virginia, Üga Büga delivers riff-heavy heavy rock wrapped in a bizarre fantasy universe of post-apocalyptic hog men, sinister wizards, monsters, and doomed heroes.

Drawing inspiration from Mastodon, Coheed and Cambria, High on Fire, and Soundgarden, the band combines massive grooves, memorable hooks, and cinematic storytelling into a sound that feels both familiar and entirely its own.

Since forming, Üga Büga has built a reputation as a relentless live act, performing more than 250 shows and sharing stages with artists including Nothing More, Whitechapel, Nekrogoblikon, CKY, Spirit World, Pentagram, Darkest Hour and King Buffalo.

Whether playing a hometown club, regional festival, or national support slot, Üga Büga brings the same mission every night:

Play loud. Tell stories. Leave a mark.

"One of the most technically impressive and musically brilliant bands that have emerged from the Doom, Sludge and Stoner Metal underground scene within the last decade or so. Valley Of The Wolf is completely surreal, outlandish, bat-shit crazy and brilliantly entertaining. It is also one of the most crazed musical experiences I've had this year alone with it's neverending supply of hard hitting grooves that never misses the target. Outstanding." - Outlaws of The Sun | read Review

“A saucy slab of proggy sludge metal.” - Invisible Oranges | read Review

“The band has truly mastered the technique how to blend influences and make the music cohesive, on point and their own. There's such a perfect flow to everything they do and whatever they throw into the mix.” - Hellride Music | read Review

"Get yourself roughed up by riffs! Just try not to break your neck while listening to this." - Metal Injection | read Review

"The Virginia trio lean hard into their dirt-under-the-nails swagger, delivering riffs that snarl and rhythms that stomp like boots on a barroom floor." - Metal Epidemic | read Review

"A psychedelic, Southern-fried, stoner wallop with all sorts of twists and turns. These dudes aren't afraid to dabble in an assortment of extreme styles." - Decibel Magazine | read Review
